Creating a Vigil Plan is a way for the dying person to have a say in how they want their dying to look and to have their wishes communicated.

Within this Plan, people choose:

• Where - Where does the person want to die? At home, at the cottage or in nature?

• Who - Who will be there? Family? Friends? Pets? Is there a "Guest List" or even a "Not Welcome List"?

• What - What is happening? Singing? Telling Stories? What's the scenery? Open window? Dim Lighting? Favourite music playing? Special smells like essential oils? Favourite Flowers? Comfort - Type of clothing or massages? In bed or favourite lounge chair? 

• Why - Why are these details important to the dying person? 

• How - As your Death Doula, I can help to create your loved one's dying space.
